RBAC for Analytics Reports

What: Today, Konnect RBAC only offers Analytics Admin and Analytics Viewer rights. Some customers would like to have the capability to control which users can see subsets of reports. We'd suggest the introduce the following permissions:

• Creator: Access to create a new custom report in Analytics. The creator automatically becomes an admin of the custom report they create. A Creator will see all the custom reports they created in the reports list page. They will see the “New Report” button and can also “Edit” or “Delete” any of the custom reports listed, either through the kebab menu in reports list page or through the action menu on the individual report details page.

• Admin: Admin of an existing custom report. Admins have full access permissions (e.g. update and delete) related to a custom report. An Admin will see the custom reports they gained access to in the reports list page. They will not see the “New Report” button but can “Edit” or “Delete” any of the custom reports listed, either through the kebab menu in reports list page or through the action menu on the individual report details page.

• Viewer: Read-only access on a custom report. A Viewer will only see the custom reports they gained access to in the reports list page. They have no power to “Edit” or “Delete”, Therefore, they will not see the “New Report” button nor the kebab menu next to each custom report in the reports list page. They will also not see the appropriate action menu items inside the individual report details page. They will still be able to export the report though.

Once a user or team gains access through the available roles, they will only see the “Reports” menu inside Analytics.
